How it works
If your flight is selected for our Ready to Fly service, you will receive an e-mail or SMS. In this invitation, you will find a link to the page where you can upload the documents. You can also select your destination via the below list and start uploading the documents.
Make sure to first check which COVID-19 related documents you need for your destination. Gather the required documents and upload them between 24 hours and 5 hours before your scheduled departure. Be sure to upload them all at once to make sure you get a positive validation from KLM. Please be aware of the date validity of your documents.
Once processed, you’ll receive an e-mail from KLM with feedback on your documents. Got a positive validation? Great! The COVID-19 related entry documents won’t have to be checked at the departure airport anymore.
About Ready to Fly
Most authorities implemented specific entry requirements to prevent the spread of COVID-19. To make sure you are allowed to arrive at your destination, we need to check the validity of the required COVID-19 related entry documents before you can check in for your flight. To offer you a fast and smooth airport process, we can validate your documents in advance.
Currently, this service is only offered on flights to specific destinations, as mentioned on this page.
Please note: this service is only available if 1 of these destinations is your final destination. If you just have a transfer at 1 of the listed destinations, this service is not offered.
If you use this service, you:
- can rest assured you’ll have all of the required COVID-19 related entry documents;
- have validation of your COVID-19 related entry documents in advance;
- can gather your documents at home at your own pace;
- minimise the COVID-19 checks at the departure airport, so you can reduce your waiting time.
You are not obligated to use this service. If you prefer, you can have your documents checked at the airport instead.
After uploading the COVID-19 documents, we will check the validity. Once we’ve validated your documents, we will send you an e-mail with the results and next steps.
Please note that we will check your documents between 09:00 AM - 06:00 PM Amsterdam local time (CET). Make sure to upload your documents up to 5 hours before your departure. If you haven’t received an e-mail confirming the validation in time, your documents will need to be checked at the airport.
Your personal (health) data provided will solely be collected and used by KLM N.V. with your consent to check if your COVID-19 related entry documents meet the requirements set by the country of your destination. If you travel in a group, this consent applies to all passengers for whom you upload the COVID-19 related entry documents. The uploaded COVID-19 related entry documents that contain your personal (health) data and/or the (health) data of those with whom you travel will be deleted after validation by KLM. If you want KLM to delete your uploaded COVID-19 related entry documents earlier, you can contact us via klm.covid-19revoke@klm.com.
